ANEW Reversalist Night Renewal Cream

So, I made it through 3 weeks of the ANEW Retuxturizing  Peel without any allergic reactions or breakouts. Therefore I can start testing another product.....the Reversalist Night Renewal Cream.

For those of you that are not familiar with Avon's ANEW line I'll give you a breakdown.

Rejuvenate = 30+ age demographic, smoothes fine lines, brightens dull skin & refines pores; reduces slight undereye puffiness. Packaging is blue.

Reversalist = 40+ age demographic, reduces wrinkles and evens skin tone; decreases dark circles under eyes. Packaging is red.

Ultimate = 50+, Reduces deep lines & age spots, restores volume to thinning skin; lessens undereye bags. Packaging is gold.

Clinical = Any age, Advanced formulations offer at-home options to dermatological procedures' use before your skin care regimen's day or night cream. Packaging is silver.

I'm using the Reversalist line because I feel I need that extra umph to my skin care. I was stupid as a kid and teenager and did not use sun screen like I should have, so I have some sun related skin issues. My skin also has dry tendencies too, so I thought that this line would better suit my skin.

You may or may not know, that I have been in LOVE with the Olay Regenerist Microsculpting Cream since August. It has been my holy grail night cream. You can check out my YouTube video in which I talk about my adoration of this product.

So why am I trying the ANEW night cream? I thought I'd give something new a try. It has some different ingredients than the Olay, not to mention the 100% satisfaction guarantee...I have nothing to lose! Plus I'm about to touch the bottom of the jar of the Olay so now seemed as good a time as any.

I've used it once so far.

My initial thoughts:
1. More like a lotion feel rather than a cream
2. Scent is pleasant, not as strong as the Olay
3. Skin felt soft in the morning, most of the product seemed to skin into the skin

I will continue to test and let you know what I think.

I will be doing a product rave video on the Retexturizing Peel this weekend so check out my YouTube channel to see that!

Avon Advanced Clinical Retexturizing Peel - Update

OK, so I've been using this peel for the past week. My skin is really smooth....really, really....like smooth as glass.

My pores are teeny tiny, almost gone!

I can't believe how great this is...so far. Just hoping the other shoe doesn't drop.

The few blackheads that I get on my chin are practically popping out of my skin...I guess tight pores are pushing them out!

So far...I'm loving this product! If I can get through one more week without any problems I'm going to have to do a rave video and blog.

Stay tuned.....next product that I'm going to try is the ANEW Reversalist Day Renewal Cream.

New Avon Lady!

Yes, I am an AVON Representative now. I honestly don't know what took me so long to decide to do this, but here I am.

Some of my fondest childhood memories were of my mom bringing home her bag of AVON goodies and opening all the boxes. I'm sure most of you have similiar memories in your past.

I'm still waiting for my new representative packet to arrive in the mail, but I do know that my first order will be delivered tomorrow. I don't have any customer orders yet, as I literally just joined 2 days ago, but I ordered a product for me.

I ordered the ANEW Clinical Advanced Retexturizing Peel. If you have been to my YouTube channel you may have seen a video that I discussed a couple of other chemical peel products (skin care routine video). I have been using the Dr. Denese Advanced Firming Facial Pads for about 3 years now and I love them. But they are pricey, not as pricey as the Dr. Gross Alpha Beta Peel but still some bucks, especially if you add on the shipping.

AVON Clinical Advanced Retexturizing Peel

I'll be sure to post a full review, but don't expect it right away. I'd like to give it 2-4 weeks of trying them so I can give a thorough review.

If any of you have tried this product please leave a comment!

Project 10 Pan Update and Ideas

This is just a quick post to update you on my P10P Round 2 Progress...I kind of cheated, but not really. They were taking up a collection for toiletries at church and I was able to donate 14 items. Only one was a true "cosmetic" it was an eye shadow trio that I never opened and had planned on returning, but never did. The rest of the products were shampoos, conditioners, hairspray, toothpaste and toothbrushes.

I have a habit of buying stuff when it's on sale regardless if I need it, so I was able to clear out a lot of room by donating these things and help someone else out!

I have also decided to repeat the "Do you need that?" mantra in my mind whenever tempted to buy something when its on sale. For example, I have to use Sensodyne toothpaste...why did I buy 2 tubes of Colgate? Duh...they were on sale. So, I pledge to think before I buy.

I'd like to say that it's hereditary....my sister and I used to "go shopping" at Mom's house when we first moved out. She always had these kind of products stocked on her shelves. I remember as a kid, when toilet paper would be on sale she would have each of us buy some (it usually had a limit per person). I thought having a closet full of products was normal.

Yes, I think it's prudent to buy products that you use regularly when on sale, but not to randomly buy stuff because it's on sale.

What are your thoughts and experiences with this? I'd love to hear that we weren't the only family stockpiling toilet paper!

Take care!

Initial Thoughts - Palladio Waterproof Mascara

OK, so yes, I'm still doing round 2 of Project 10 Pan and I have purchased a couple of new products...so technically I've cheated. Ooops.

I don't really think that mascaras should count against me though since they either expire or dry up quickly. So I guess what I'm saying is that....I'm not going to count them against me.

OK, now that I've justified my purchase of this Palladio Waterproof Mascara I'll get to my initial thoughts on this.

Honestly I didn't have very high expectations for this product. I just grabbed it when I was at Sally's the other day. It was cheap and I thought it was worth trying.

I don't love it, but I don't hate it either. The pigmentation is excellent. Very inky dark black, so that was a plus. The finish is kind of old school. My lashes felt hard, not soft like a lot of mascaras feel now. It held a curl decently and came off without problems. Wear is decent, no flaking noted during an 8 hour day.

Now the negatives...the smell is definitely "herbal". It didn't bother me, I only smelled it while I was putting it on. Once it dries you don't smell anything. Not a deal breaker for me, but I'm just putting it out there.

The big negative is the brush. I'm not going to sugar coat it....it sucks. The bristles are very stiff and far apart. They spiral down a very small brush. I had a hard time applying it and keeping it off my eyelids.

I'm going to stop by Sally's this weekend and pick up some disposable mascara brushes and see if that makes a difference. I'll let you know.

Thanks for checking out this post.

Let me know your thoughts on this product and any requests you have for me to review.

China Glaze Wild Mink

As a rule I paint my nails once a week. I have a pretty big polish collection but I tend to go for the same ones over and over. Boring, yes...what can I say, I'm a creature of habit.

I've had Wild Mink since last summer and this week was the first time I've used it. I don't know why it took me so long to try this color. It's a gorgeous rosey pink....I'd almost go so far as to say Barbie pink. It's colorful, but still classy enough to kind of look like a neutral. It's hard to explain.

It's a cream color, which I prefer and has very nice coverage. I've found that some of the China Glaze polishes can be shear, which I'm not really a fan of. Wild Mink looked great with just two coats and still looks nice 5 days later.

I also went back and tried the China Glaze base coat. I'd used it over the summer and was not impressed....thank goodness for second chances. It worked great! Not a single chip!

I went crazy last summer when Sally's had China Glaze on BOGO, plus with my Sally's card they were a little over a buck each.

I'm going to try and use a new shade every week and post it on my blog.

Let me know what China Glaze polishes are your favorites!

Take care!
This picture doesn't do it justice. It's more vibrant and cooler pink in person.
