Going to Hawaii!!

ALOHA!         I am so excited about my upcoming vacation! My hubby and I are going to Hawaii to relax and visit with family. I haven't gone on a "go away" vacation in almost 4 years!

Yes, the flight is miserable long and I'll be super jet lagged....but it's HAWAII!!!

We'll be staying about 2 weeks this time, so we'll have plenty of time to relax, play and visit with my family. I don't get to see that side of my family very often so it will be a treat!

I'll be sure to take lots of pictures and video while we're there.

Gotta start thinking about what I'm going to pack....as little as possible is the plan!

Layering Nail Polish - Combo #1

China Glaze - Coconut Kiss + Awakening

Layer nail polish is something that the beauty magazines have been promoting lately...even though we have all done this at one time or another.

I know I have gone over a color with another when I didn't like the first shade. Lets face the facts, I'm lazy and don't always want to wipe off my polish just because I'm not crazy about it. So I cover it up with something else.

I decided to post my combo's as I've learned that it is not as easy as it looks. I've tried some combinations that seemed like they would work out and ended up looking like doo doo. I urge all of you to post your favorite combo's as well!

Just think of all the possibilities!! I have a large nail polish collection as it is, but if I layer them it just grows that much more!!

Hope you enjoy this and I look forward to hearing about your favorite nail polish combo's!!

Fat Foam Hair Color Review/Rave

Ok, so I admit that I'm a sucker for gimmicks.

So naturally I was drawn to the Fat Foam Hair Color system.

Imagine me standing at Walmart gazing in wonder at the video demonstrating this product. My eyes were glazed and drool dripping from my mouth.....ok, I'm exaggerating...but you get the idea.

I really was in need of a root touch up. For those of us with naturally dark hair, the grays show up like crazy and I'm too lazy to brush over'em with black mascara. (Pitiful, I know.)

I don't really like coloring my own hair, but I can't afford to pay someone to color 1/2 inch of my roots every 4-6 weeks either. Not to mention the contact buzz and associated headache from all the fumes.

So I went ahead and bought the stuff. Boy was I ever grateful that I fell for the hype and tried it! It was super easy to use, not messy at all and ZERO FUMES!!! (Gasp!!!) It covered all my grays, I'm talking black...not dark brown or brown....black!!!

I think the biggest thing that impressed me was the lack of fumes and how neatly I could apply it. We've all colored our own hair and we've all seen those ladies that have the tell tale signs of a home dye job....you know the look. Faint splotches on the forehead and tops of the ears. I don't care if you put Vaseline on those areas or do the "dye removes dye" bit, it always shows. Not with this stuff!!

Clearly I'm a fan, so I hope I've shared some helpful information about this product. Click on the link below to see an in depth review on my YouTube Channel!

ULTA - Tealtastic Eyes!!

Here's a few more pictures of the look that I did using all ULTA eyeshadows. I didn't put them in the YT video cause I'm still figuring out how Picasa and all that stuff works. I took these pictures with my Motorola Droid X phone, they turned out really well!!

Deep Sea - Teal w/gold shimmer
Gold Leaf - Antique/Dirty gold shimmer
Minked - Deep brown w/red shimmer (cannot see shimmers)
Naked - Cream w/satin finish

Enjoy!!

Rimmel Lash Accelerator

OK, so you guys know that I've been a long time Latisse user.....as in a year and half. I've had great results with it and only one side effect (darkness at lash line).

But recently I've noticed that the lashes on my left eye are noticably shorter than the right and I have a patch that is growing back. It almost looks like I pulled some out when I wore fake lashes. I'm not sure exactly when or how they came out, but they are taking their sweet time to grow back.

I thought that maybe my lashes had become immune to the Latisse or maybe it was getting old....needless to say, I've decided to give Latisse a rest and try something different.

I'd been watching the lovely UK ladies on YouTube talking about Rimmel's Lash Accelerator and waiting for it to cross the pond. I've searched high and low for weeks and I finally found it 4 days ago! I bought 3 tubes...not sure why, but I'm prepared!

I have used it everyday, but today (didn't wear any makeup today) and will continue to use it for 30 days. I took before pictures and will document my progress weekly. I really hope this works, it will be literally 10 times less expensive than the Latisse. However, my Latisse lasts a long time because I don't use the crappy brushes that come with it.

Check back frequently for new pictures and a comprehensive review!!
